I normally read romance manhwa, but I enjoyed this one a lot. If you like manhwa about getting revenge, this one’s for you. The fight scenes are very exciting. I like how cunning and strong the MC is. The only thing that bothered me is I felt that MC is a bit one-dimensional? Would like to see more depth. Nonetheless, this is a great read.

I’m currently on chapter 15, and I really like it. The art is good, the chapters are long, it’s easy to follow and doesn’t require you to have an IQ of 200 to understand the story, the translations are on point & the chapters aren’t messy. The MC is more on the logical side, so he’s the brain instead of the brawn which makes him all the more interesting. The story is great at executing the tragedies that happen to our MC, and it’s easy to feel bad for him. The plot is good and the things that are happening are realistic in their own way. The only problem I have with this is that the characters aren’t all that memorable. You’ll remember them, but they don’t have any special qualities. All in all, I definitely recommend reading this. 9/10

I just find it a bad way to write an excuse for whatever he becomes in the future. Of course they deserve what they got, but the way the author wrote out what he suffered is just by repeating things over and over again. It makes the story have really bad storytelling, and the MC seem one dimensional. I think if they focused more on the emotions the MC felt, other than rage, it could make tragedy seem like it impacted the MC more. Like the reoccurring thought that his loving family is no longer with him, I would write a flash back that emphasizes on the family’s close relationship. Then have him get struck by the sorrow that he’ll never experience his families warm smiles ever again. And maybe show more of how prominent the medicine school was to history, to emphasize the negative effect of it being exterminated.
I went way too deep into this… but you probably get what I mean by now. Being a villain isn’t the problem, it’s just how the author relayed the reason he resorts to villainy that’s the problem. (For short)
