Even if it’s their special trait, it’s completely one-sided. You don’t know who they are, what they do, or what they even like it’s just some completely random person. Honestly, I would be creeped out as hell.

My review. Contains light spoilers:
I have a long winded review on why I personally don’t like this story, but after feeling like I wasted a handful of hours reading this through, I’m too exhausted and frustrated to type it all down ?
Overall, if I was in middle school or freshman in highschool – I would have eaten this shit up but now I see a lot of poor story telling and poor character exploration which is unfortunate because the exploration is an INTEGRAL part of the world this manhwa is in.
It’s like someone had an idea for a story, got the main parts down with some heartfelt lines, but then couldn’t figure out how to connect each part in a compelling manner that would make me care about the characters. This manhwa tries to do that at the end with the main couple and also giving the side characters their own chapters, but they ultimately don’t matter, because it does not affect the story in any meaningful way.
You could have taken those chapters out and it wouldn’t affect the story. It was just another way to add in more tragic elements like unrequited love which is unnecessary since we were never given any chance to see them enough to be important aside from maybe Lin’s best friend, but she was ultimately used to advance the plot.
The chapters are short which I feel affected how the story was told and makes everything feel hollow, but the fact that there’s 71 chapters at the time of typing this, means they weren’t limited to a specific amount of chapters and could have easily made more chapters to flesh out the world and characters.
Even the main couple is hard to feel empathetic for because all they think about is how much they love each other, but can’t be with each other because of XYZ reason. Even tho the main “problem” is solved, the overarching issue between the main couple being too different from each other is still a persistent issue and there isn’t really any real communication or any explanation on WHY they love each other..they just DO and their reasons are superficial like having a cute personality/being loveable/lovely or being their “fated” mate.
Not to mention how uncomfortable I feel the FL’s love struck advances are, which feel pushy, but because she’s a “loveable and lovely” shut, her actions and obsession is excused since that’s what Shuts do, as if that’s an excuse for her behavior. Though I might just be nitpicking.
I ALSO have an issue at the fact that a Gray is a person with a dark complexion from africa and basically being sold into slavery. That stereotype in stories is tiring.
The whole different Types in this story is very flawed and the types that aren’t Destroy or Shuts are only used to support the main couple.
If anyone wants a more in depth review, I’d be more than happy to explain.
Of course if you like this story, more power to you! I wish I felt the same.

it’s like they wanted to write out a toxic couple but with justifications so they can keep being toxic all the way to the bitter end.
i felt extremely uncomfortable when i finished catching up
this story had such great promise in the beginning it’s sad they didn’t take the time to properly tell it.
the way they kept randomly jumping back and forth between the past present and future was so confusing

The backstory of the dad was sad, still I don’t forgive him for what he said to Dosung or did to his mother, forcing someone to be with you is wrong no matter what. So I was thinking they show that the genes for a Shut overpower the “Lesser”. However sometimes when 2 dominant genes go together they mix. Like white flowers and red flowers typically have white and red offspring but sometimes there are pink flowers as well. Dosung is clearly not just a Destroy or an Evil. He shows the same reactions as our girl who is a Shut at first. He has to be a mutation or both at the same time.

Okay so far we good, this girl and him don’t seem to have THAT kind of relationship. But really how did he know it was her XD. That’s so embarrassing I would have been sweating my makeup off. If i was her I would have moved more seats away the moment I realized it was him, because now it looks sus but it was just a coincidence she stopped there too…. ahhhh.
