Don’t get me wrong: FUCK OG Angela >:( but I can’t help but wonder WHY she hated Jayna to such an extent. Pre-regression Jayna seems just as kind as how the public saw OG Angela (unconditionally splurged on her and continued theor friendship despite her distanced relationship with her dad) so it honestly makes no for Angela to have become as hateful as she was unless they had some history that won’t be unveiled until later in the story (which I hope won’t happen bc that’d be lazy on the author’s part). Even with her love, she was sold off to Angela’s father, who was a war hero, as thanks from the holy country. Angela’s father was traumatized after the war and gave most of their money away, after Angela was born, he took up drinking and started to abuse Angela’s mother. The reason why angela is traumatized with pink is because Angela’s mother always wore a pink dress to cover the signs of abuse and after Angela’s mother was killed by her father, her father forced Angela to wear that dress and pose as her mother to abuse her. Angela couldn’t take it anymore and killed her father and forged a letter to Jayna’s father. She remembered her mother’s hateful words to Jayna and Jayna’s mother, saying how it was because of them that they had to live with her father. I am really sorry,, let me put this first : I may still continue reading,, that’s how intriguing the premise and the plot are. We know we always loved a FL protag that was a total opposite of damsel in distress, someone who can cook something,, and refused to be a pushover.

The art also pretty,, I know there are many even more prettier (to my taste),, but I also have seen many that will be under this one.
However,, the storytelling is what pulled me off many many times..
I do saw them in earlier chapter,, but it getting worse and worse as the story going.
There are many manhwa that I eventually knew adapted from a novel,, because I was actively looking for information, or some readers dropped it somewhere.
But, in this one,, that fact was so obvious.
There are many things that are being told to readers, when they can actually show it like in images.
There are even happened constantly that the things that has been described in the art, the images, the acting and all that,, were being told again in text narrative. Thus felt so repetitive, and sometimes make me felt I was being treated as a dumdum who can’t even figured it out from only the picture.
There were too many narration to assist the story. Too many, and mostly wasn’t really needed actually.
Another thing I felt as problem was the way they packed the scene in the story..
I’ve said before that many things are overexplained, but there are also many things that are lack attention.
The shifts between scenes are so abrupt and most are assist by naration, telling us that event is over,, now let’s move onto this one
And have I said it was abrupt?
Like she suddenly move here,, suddenly moved there…
Of course there are explanation,, the narration, remember?
Not only the shifts, even the scene sometimes felt awkward and unnatural. Left me with question,, what was that?
Some scenes were so awkward, I don’t even understand what the purpose of them.
I never read the novel so I don’t have enough information to talk about it,, so for now I conclude, this was just a clumsy adaptation of the story.

Thus the shift between scene don’t seem to be organic and instead jumpy here and there,, some scene didn’t have clear purposes either..

What was the scene for? First,, the shift to here seemed random.
There were no hint or anything lead to Jayna wanted to stop by the lake.. Or why would she wanted to? Did she knew Dane was here already, or did she hoped to meet him, or her visit not related to him at all?
Then, if this scene’s purpose was to show chemistry between Dane and Jayna……that was just…….off.
Not only it was too short,, but there are not many interaction between them either..
If anything,, it was the rabbit that was building something.
Am I supposed to pair them just because Jayna saw him bit by rabbit, then tried to show him what a stone skipping, which also got disturbed by the rabbit,, and the rabbit took her lap…
See,,,,, it’s the rabbit that build a connection here….(oh, btw, weak ML wasn’t really my type in the first place,, I prefer to be stepped on).
Lastly,,, even the end of this scene is…….. I am left flabbergasted.
