Like he’ll do anything to anyone that dares hurt his loved ones. We just didn’t get the chance to see in the last 79 chapters bc something like this never happened to Hari or anyone Eric loves.
As for Eugene, I don’t mind as much because he’s always been portrayed as a shady character but with plus points to balance it out bc he’s the main lead.

I definitely get what you’re saying but I actually kinda liked that. In most manhwas it’s kind of annoying how angelic and forgiving the main leads are in these cases. I liked the fact that they actually showed some anger and resentment, like they wanted revenge. I feel like it’s more accurate and makes them more human. If anyone tried to kill me or anyone in my family, I would slap them and wish hell on them too. Idk, I do feel like Lavender might actually have some serious mental illness, so to see them handle her like this was a little uncomfortable but it’s understandable that they would probably not know the existence of mental disorders during this time period. They think that she’s just insane and evil. I mean…she is, but that might just stem from something wrong with her brain. I know many neurological issues can cause increases in aggressive behavior and sociopathy all because of some imbalanced protein in the brain. So all that to say, I find their anger refreshing but I also feel that Lavender just needs some psychological help.

Personally, as long as it’s just a slap and not a SLAP and it’s for a suitable reason, I think there are situations where slapping your kid is appropriate just as their are situations where slapping any given person is appropriate (probably more if any). Trying to look at this from his perspective, I think he basically saw it as “my young teenaged son went into my adoptive 7 year-old daughter’s room with the instruction to spend some time with her but instead stole and ate the candy given to her as a reward for taking her medicine while she’s sick.” Perhaps a little too far, but not the worst either. You also have to keep in mind the time period, that would have likely been a light punishment in those days.

They didn’t force her to come with them (and honestly they may have saved her life since she was an impoverished orphaned girl living on the streets), and they’re genuinely trying to treat her well even if they aren’t doing it quite right. Also, I agree that the brothers’ FEELINGS are half-justified, and that their actions are understandable, but their actions aren’t justified.
