Huh? Wasn’t he supposed to stay with her to avoid her being killed? And now he’s just leaving and she’s just staying behine alone? You caught assassins twice! Doens’t mean it ends there, nothing is uncovered!
And didn’t she have lessons to learn (what the head maid said -her duties- which was delayd because of the assassination attempts. The butler posioned the tea (maybe) but ended up dead after the second assassination attempt, doesn’t mean he was behind those, just the tea, because why try both things the same night? And the tea wasn’t even infused with a deadly posion, we still don’t know what posion it was! Maybe something for infertility?
Author lost their plot again it seems.
Same as with the brothers, both are called Joseph at times even though one is supposed to be Jeffrey. And the kids name who made the rifle? muskeet? (not consistent as well) is named Joseph-something as well. And that! Gunpowder?! excuse me?! so it is already developed in another country (guns) or that name wouldn’t exist, but sure, it’s new. black powder might’ve been more accurate to keep the misunderstanding for readers at minimum.
