I’m just annoyed so much at this point by people getting mad at the FL like take it into perspective, two people she loved very dearly, she finds out they’ve been lying to her and she only finds out about this through seeing them refusing to give people the antidote to a poison. Keep in mind that these people are begging and are severely injured.
Continuing on her entire reality is now shattered, everything she thought she knew was a lie, and the only people you can really blame in the situation is Ain/Ein and Cassius. Sure in reality she would share a SMALL bit of blame for believing this was who they really were but can you really blame her? She just wanted to believe that they weren’t bad people and then BOOM she finds out that they aren’t good people and it breaks her, and makes her afraid. But still your S/O has been lying to you and hiding the fact that he has continued on most likely torturing people, and your son who you thought was an angel turns out to be a devil. And you find out that your son has continued to consume poison when he said he would stop, and he’s been making it look like he was the sweetest child alive when he wasn’t.
Also the way the FL is reacting is completely reasonable, since imagine it from your perspective.
Someone (Or multiple someone’s) who you trusted very much and cared for very much, turns out your entire relationship was built on lies. And you find this out, you will obviously feel betrayed. So you lock yourself up since you are trying to process all of this and it’s very difficult, so you don’t really want to see said person/people since they were in a way manipulating you into believing they were someone they weren’t.
Which brings me to my next point, Cassius and Ain/Ein were manipulating her in a way. They were trying to AND convinced her that they were different people, that they could do no harm and do nothing bad. When in reality that was a lie, and she believed it because she wanted to and they kept on feeding this lie to her/ continuing to manipulate her to believe that they were different people and that they were good.
They continued to hide the truth from her which just caused more damage to their relationship once she found out.
It honestly would’ve just been a lot better if they had just straight out told the FL the truth, since well yes it would’ve caused a rift between them still. It wouldn’t have been as big and it most likely could’ve been healed faster. Instead of taking a week or more for our FL to even allow them to speak to her, and that is only after she has begun to fully process everything.

One thing that really bothers me is how many people are blaming the FL for her very justified, and natural reaction to the circumstances she’s under. The ML and Son both purposely misled her to continue receiving her affections. The ML had sex with her, while lying to her face and pretending that he was a good person.
Hindsight is 20/20, for all the people saying she should have known, how could she have when they went out of their way to mislead her?
I know it’s hard to see the ML and Son sad, and what they do is for their own survival; but really consider what she’s going through right now, and please try to think realistically how would any normal person act in her situation

I’m thinking about this and I’m trying to sympathize with both father and son. The father is treated like a villain because of the dirty work he does for the king. Ein is picked on by other kids because of his genius and his relation to his father. Their circumstances made them villains. Even when Ein beat the boy up, the boy started it first by making insensitive remarks about his mother and the possibility of him losing his place in the family if his parents have another child. Did he expect to say something like that and expect to get away with it? Also, I don’t know what the father wrote in that letter with the gift but it’s obviously not good.
So I have to say, I don’t condone their overly violent actions and murderous tendencies but with the environment they grew up in, I’m not surprised that they’re twisted mentally.
The FL really has to understand that the environment in the novel and back in her reality is totally different and she can’t expect Ein to behave like a normal boy when he’s been conditioned for so many years.
