Short summary- The mc’s mother died, so the village chief, Benjamin took care of her. However he didn’t let her out and kept her in his ‘cage’. He taught her everything about her mother and how to act like her mother, including her laugh, what she wore, what food to eat, etc, and if she didn’t, she got slapped. He wanted her to be EXACTLY like her mother, to the point where she didn’t know who she is or like. He basically guilt tripped her to not leave, saying stuff like how if he wasn’t there, she would remain a orphan. Fast forward when she’s 16, she was about to get married to him, (A MINOR) when she decided to kill herself and returned back in time when her mother was alive
