What I liked most about this chapter is that the FL is thoroughly aware of the ML’s tendency to shallowly profess his love to anyone who pitied and sympathized with him. I think she deeply wounded him when she turned down his confession by expressing her utter disbelief in his sincerity and asking if his bygone feelings for his ex-lover was the most genuine expression of love that he could show. She didn’t want any misunderstanding between them so she turned him down in the most clear and direct way possible. She made it clear that she’s neither going to be his caregiver nor his next victim.
This just goes to show that the FL won’t stand to support the ML’s suffocating emotional needs. If I’m permitted to be brutally honest, I really do think that he should really grow a pair and do some self-reflection before he goes around misinterpreting his problematic emotional attachment for genuine love.
I also think that the realistic plot of this manhwa shatters the common trope in contemporary literature (anime/manga/manhwa) wherein a protagonist will automatically develop feelings for another just because the person of interest is kind, empathetic friendly and supportive to the former. It just doesn’t work this way, this series realistically depicts that.

First off, the depiction of the sex scene was hot af (one of the best and most intimate positions I’d reckon)!!!. But the FL’s inclination in having a romantic disposition towards the ML is not there yet, I think, it still too early to blush with the ML XD.
The ML needs someone who he confidently sees as dependable, reliable and be vulnerable with. He is still emotionally immature due to his traumatic upbringing so he has a barrier to anyone who he’s neither familiar nor intimate with. Despite this, he develops a very strong emotional attachment to anyone who can smash through his wall and understand what he’s been through. The FL is perfectly suited to accommodate the ML’s emotional needs since she’s very mature, responsible and understanding. The things is, I doubt the authenticity of the prince’s romantic feelings towards the FL because I am fully certain that he loves her because he NEEDS her. Their relationship is not one of equals, since the FL always has to give whenever the ML needs to receive and that’s not a good relationship. She always has to give because she has no choice. Since the ML doesn’t understand how to give love and provide emotional support, he reciprocates the FL’s efforts (effort not love) by rewarding her material possessions. He misunderstands her diligent and persevering efforts as implicit love and affection.
The problem is that building a romantic relationship based on the foundation of Infatuation is meant to crumble on the slightest of trouble or a better partner. A good example of this is the King’s relationship with Rosemund. When the ML realized that the FL is a more knowledgeable, reliable, caring and understanding than Rosemund, he unconsciously developed romantics feeling for the former and unconsciously diminished his feelings towards the latter. I really hope that the author can manage to turn the couple’s relationship into a genuine relationship of equals where each party is mutually capable of giving and receiving both love and affection. The foundation of their relationship should be about mutual love and not mutual needs.

I thought I wouldn’t like this one and would possibly drop it, but it’s actually good. I didn’t get bored while reading bcuz the fight between the queen and the mistress made me interested on what will happen next.
You’ll probably get impatient and frustrated at the start, but everything will work out slowly if you’ll just be patient and enjoy yourself hating and cursing the mistress? For the Emperor, he’s kinda stupid at first and you’ll probably hate him, but he also has a side story so watch out for that.
I’ll patiently wait for the upcoming chapters, I’m excited on what will happen next.

So I feel like the author trying to highlight the story from the homewrecker (and their children) POV, where their lives actually were ruined (?) by the legal wives as opposed to most stories where the legal wives are the victims.
But they try to make readers symphatize with the homewreckers (emperor real mom and rose) by giving them painful backstories, also made the legal wives character (late empress and rose’s step mom) blinded by jealousy and hatred that they went batshit crazy.
