One of these days I want to see a romance where it isn’t “they’re unique” “they’re different from all the other people” “literally everyone else in the world is a butthole except for this person,” but instead it’s somebody who, just like real life, is no different from everyone else. Only difference is they had some things in common and developed a relationship and decided to continue loving each other. Not that the edgy romance stuff is just garbage, but it’s SO overused. If I see one more variation of “I was in the darkness and they were my light” I might die of edgy overdose.

Slight spoilers.
The storytelling feels awkward and doesn’t seem well thought out, as well as the sudden “heart throb” moments- pacing is weird and the sudden change in mood doesn’t make sense and is jarring in the immersion. Its weird that the girl goes from being killed, transported to another world, sold to what should be in her eyes a ‘scary, threatening monster’ and has a random spurt of courage but gets doki doki because he’s handsome, then in the next chapter, is suddenly unafraid of him -> random scene to create tension. The male MC blushes hard after he throws a KNIFE at her because he cornered her? She has an inconsistent personality from the one portrayed in the beginning and she seems to be selectively effected by things around her. However, things stabilize a bit after the first few chapters. The romance part is super rushed. I wouldn’t normally be too nitpicky about emotional realism in fiction but reading from the other comments, I feel like I’m right to infer that this manga lacks depth and substance.
Then again, this is just one opinion. The premise has some potential and the scenes apart from the male MC and weird character development(?) were ok, but eh. 2/5.
