Back then, honeymoons held a lot more significance that it is today since it is considered as the physical binding of the union between two people under God, assuming that the monarchy follows the Catholic faith. The only way for the couple to avoid this political upheaval is for them to engage in coitus and actually sire an heir. Make the pregnancy a reality.

Truth, in the manhwa of “Remarried Empress”, Sovieshu (Emperor of the East) cannot afford to allow the FL to marry Heinley ( Emperor of the West) since it would consequate to a huge political and territorial loss to him. Heinley would effectively have a significant foothold and considerable influence in the East since the FL is a daughter of a Marquis in East. In turn, the Marquisate or Margraviate of the FL’s family would have a significant influence and power over East and West politics. It would also increase the family’s political status at home.

I’m 11 chapters in and I’m actually going to drop right where it picks up. For it’s credit, it only took them around 9 chapters to talk about it, because it was getting really annoying at how many hints the FL missed. I skipped ahead and skimmed some newer chapters and they’re much better than the early ones; just not enough for me to keep reading it.
Reading from early chapter comments, people find the FL weak and the plot to drag on (and tbh it’s a little too on the nose for me, but whatever), but it gets better later on, I just find it to be a little cliche. I don’t mind the FL being weak, it’s just when he’s being so blatant about it and it takes her like 5 to go, “wait, is he from the past too?!?!” So somehow, the pacing is simultaneously too fast and too slow. A bit superfluous and eh. FL seems to get stronger in future chapters tho, credit where credit’s due.
Tl;dr: slow/ annoying start, decent later on. Not much plot (kinda cliche) but at least it focuses on their relationship.
